Cork The cork tree groves occupy most part of the Quinta do Romeu. The Quadraçal and Morais forests are part of the “Rede Natura 2000”, a European network for the conservation of biodiversity and natural habitats. The Azibo forest is classified as Protected Landscape. The cork is extracted from every cork tree every 10 years by the Estate’s labourers around June and July. |
