At the Museum of Curiosities, curious
day-to-day objects from the 19th and early-20th century
are on simple display.
A large share of them was once in use by
the Menéres family.
Within the museum, visitors can listen to soul-stirring music boxes and find
early models of cameras, film-projectors, sewing machines, ironing presses,
radios, bicycles, horse-carts, cars and even a primitive manual fire-engine
that once proved unable to put out a fire in the family household.
The museum also has on display several documents and objects linked to Quinta
do Romeus history.
The Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, and closes at 4 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Admission fee: 1.50
